Holy Week Worship at Christ Lutheran
Maundy Thursday, April 2nd – 7pm
We come together to remember Jesus, Love Incarnate. Readers will tell the story of the night Jesus gave us the gift of the meal he commanded us to share, Holy Communion will be offered, and the altar will be stripped.
Good Friday – April 3rd
Holy Hike – 3:30pm -Meet at the Trailhead in Preston for a hike that is about a mile long. All ages welcome!
Good Friday Worship –7:00pm – Let go of worries and burdens to pray through Jesus’ last words from the Cross as recorded in the gospels.
Easter Sunday, April 5th – 9am
Join us for Easter worship as we celebrate with joy the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
*Holy Hike for All Ages – Friday, April 3, 3:30 pm | Preston Trailhead. Come explore God’s creation with a short, easy walk along the river. We will look for “God sightings” like birds, rocks, and sparkling water while we pause for a short story and prayer. All ages welcome—strollers too!
*March is Foodshare Month! Throughout March, you’ll find a grocery cart in the Narthex ready to receive donations of packaged food or personal care items. Financial gifts are also welcome—please make checks payable to Christ Lutheran and designated for the Food Shelf, or you may donate cash. When the campaign concludes, we will share the total amount of food collected and funds donated. Thank you for helping us care for our community through this important ministry. The 2026 March Campaign will run March 1-April 6, 2026!
*April Book Read – From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Braiding Sweetgrass, The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer gently invites readers to imagine a world shaped by generosity instead of scarcity. Through the simple beauty of the serviceberry tree, she shows how sharing, gratitude, and care for community can create a richer, more hopeful way of living—together. This short-112-page book is a wonderful read for spring and gardening season. Join us at Nancy Hengeveld’s home for conversation and fellowship on Thursday, April 16th at 6:30 pm.
- 💵Cash & Check. Feel free to bring your gift to any worship service or mail it directly to the church office. Checks can be made payable to Christ Lutheran Church. Giving envelopes are available from Amanda in the church office.
- 🏦 Bill Pay Through Your Bank. (no fees incurred, recurring giving option) You can set up automatic payments through your bank’s bill pay system. Just add our church as a payee and designate your gift amount and frequency. You may set this up as a recurring payment.
