*ALL SAINTS SUNDAY – November 1, 2026. On All Saints Sunday we create a space in worship that embraces the saints who have passed as well as those who live among us. Candles will be lit for newly baptized and departed saints, and candles will be available for you to light for saints you hold in your heart. May we rest in God’s mercy.
*Annual Women’s Fall Benevolence Drive – For years, the generosity of the Women of Christ Lutheran has supported our community and those far beyond through the Women’s Fall Benevolence Drive. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing generosity and hope you will join us again in supporting these important causes. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be mailed to: Joyce Hellickson — 409 Winona St. NW — Preston MN 55965
Additionally, you can drop off or mail your donation at the church office or place it in the offering plate during Sunday morning worship. Please make checks payable to Women of Christ Lutheran. We kindly ask that your donation be received by Sunday, November 29, 2026. To save postage, letters will be available for pickup in the narthex through October 25th
*ATTENTION LEFSE AND FLATBREAD BAKERS! It is time again to bake our lefse for our Craft and Bake Sale. Our first Bake day is planned for Saturday, November 7, starting at 8 am in the Fellowship Hall/Kitchen. We’re looking forward to a great turnout and making plenty of lefse. For those preparing lefse, please incorporate the flour and shape into balls before arriving at the church. We also will be making flatbread that day and could use extra help. Please bring tins if you have them. All are welcome! If you have questions, feel free to contact: Joyce Every, 507-951-1345, joycekevinevery@gmail.com (lefse) or Linda Wolfe, 952-807-5214, lwolfe609@gmail.com
*Attention Lefse Lovers! In addition to the sale of lefse at our Craft and Bake Sale on December 5, 2026, there will be a limited amount of lefse for sale at the raffle ticket table in the narthex on November 15 & 22, 2026. Get your lefse for your Thanksgiving dinner!
*The Sixth Annual Craft and Bake Sale is on Sat., Dec. 5, 2026. The volunteer sign up sheet is now in the narthex and will be at the raffle sales table each Sunday after church. The Gnome Cafe and kids’ crafting sign up sheets will be posted by the Sunday School supply room. Please refer to the November Ambassador for updates and also get an information sheet in the narthex to see baked good prices, donation drop off times, and more. Thank you for your help!
*Craft and Bake Sale Raffle Ticket Sale – The raffle ticket sales for the annual Craft and Bake Sale will began on Sunday, Oct. 25, after the church service. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each. We will continue to sell these tickets after each church service until the day of the sale. Mary Zimmerman has again donated a beautiful quilt for the main prize. Other prizes include a Bogg bag with beach towels, portable car charger, $250 cash prize, and two XLS GCI rockers with side tables. The drawing will be held on the day of the sale, December 5, at 2:00 p.m.
*Baby & Toddler Book Club – Second Sundays – November 8 & December 13 at 10 am
Who is it for? Babies (yes, truly!), toddlers, and preschoolers up to age four—not yet attending Sunday School— and their parents or other caring adults. Led by Shelby Ristau, explore faith through storytelling, prayer, music, and creative play. The Frolic First Bible (given at Baptism) and Frolic board books, create a meaningful experience for you. Plus, families will be given a book to take home! Scan this QR code to register for the November class:
*November Book Read – Join us as we read “Boys in the Light”, a powerful true story tracing two parallel journeys in WWII: Eddie Willner, a Jewish teenager surviving Auschwitz, and 23-year-old Elmer Hovland, from Luverne MN, leading Company D of the U.S. 3rd Armored Division. Eddie, his friend, and father; Elmer, and young American soldiers confront the brutal realities of war. Their paths meet in a single unforgettable moment when two emaciated boys step out of the woods, revealing the horrors the tankers had been fighting against. Written by Nina Willner, granddaughter of Eddie, this moving account invites us to reflect on courage, survival, and the resilience of the human spirit. Discussion will be on Thursday, November 19, 6:30 pm at Nancy Hengeveld’s home. All are welcome. Come for thoughtful conversation and shared reflection.
*Pumpkin Fundraiser results – Thank you to everyone who donated to the 7-12th grade Pumpkin decorating contest! The results are – First Place, Camryn Severson -The Lorax; Second Place, Braelynn Dierkes and Jezlyn Finseth – VanPickleFrank Draqulina; Third Place, Lilly Dempewolf – Lilly’s Going Through a Phase. All together the Youth raised $209.05, that will be donated to a charity of their choice

*Care Package Event – Wed. Nov 18| 6-7:30 pm | grades 10-12 It’s that time of year! Last spring’s graduates have dug into fall and are looking toward the holidays. Remind them that they are beloved by putting care packages together for each graduate. Bring 9 items, all the same, like hot cocoa, candy, post it’s, mini playdough, etc. Together we make a difference!
*Fall Clean Up Day at the Church– Saturday, November 21st from 8am – 11am. We will have some cleaning supplies on hand but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.
