We’re excited to begin a new year of confirmation ministry together.
Please take a moment to register your youth and answer a few questions that will help us plan well for the year

Here Are Some Important Dates for Your Calendar!

Sunday, Sept. 13, 9 am, Fall Rally Sunday and Tractor Sunday
Youth are invited for a back-to-school blessing and to help serve freshly-baked donuts during fellowship time.
Free will offerings will be designated for the ELCA Youth Gathering next summer.
Please let Pastor Kris know if you can help!
Wednesday, Sept. 16, 6 pm, Confirmation Orientation.
Youth & parent/guardian attend.
Wednesday, September 16, 6:30 pm, Information meeting for the ELCA Gathering 2027 for 8th-12th graders and parents
(gathering dates June 27-July 2, 2027). Registrations will be due in October.
Sunday, Sept. 20, 9 am, Blessing of Bibles in Worship for 7th graders.
The congregation gifts each confirmand a Lutheran Study Bible.
Wednesday, Sept. 23, 6-7:30 pm, First night of Confirmation
Wednesday, Oct. 7, 6-7:30 pm, Confirmation Family Connections
(parents are expected to attend with confirmand and siblings are welcome.

The confirmation calendar and other elements of this ministry will be presented at Orientation on September 16.
Plus, parents of 8-12th graders, are encouraged stay for the Registration and Information meeting for next summer’s ELCA Youth Gathering.

Donuts and Devotions
First Sundays

Youth in grades 7-12 Come for the donuts. Stay for your faith.

We keep it simple:
donuts, a short devotion, conversation, and a space to
grow together.

2027 ELCA Youth Gathering

June 28 to July 2, 2027, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Information and Registration Meeting

Wednesday, September 16, 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall

The 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering is a triennial event that brings together high school youth and adult leaders for a week of faith formation, worship, service, and community activities. The theme for 2027 is “Imagine More”, inspired by Ephesians 3:20, encouraging participants to explore love grace, welcome, joy, and courage. Those attending will experience large-scale worship experiences, interactive learning with ministry partners, hands-on activities, small group discussions, and service opportunities that promote social justice and community engagement. Plus – activities we as a Christ Lutheran group choose.

Eligibility and Registration

Youth who are in grades 8-12 during the 2026-2027 school year are eligible to attend.

For our 7th, 8th & 9th graders, we have our Confirmation Program.
We also have a new Youth Lead program for 10th-12th graders

Confirmation – 7th, 8th, 9th graders

Students meet at church on Wednesday evenings during the school year for a meal, activities, and lessons.
Our Confirmation students assist with many roles in the church, from serving as acolytes and computer technicians during the services, to leading a fun Youth Service in February.

Our students also work through our Confirmation program and pair with an adult Mentor to guide them and assist with their Faith Papers. Our Confirmation Service is held in the fall, where students who are in 10th grade and have met the requirements are confirmed in their Christian Faith.

Please take a couple minutes to register your youth for confirmation.
There is also an opportunity for you to let us know how you wish to be involved.

Youth Lead

You’re confirmed – what’s next? We are creating a space for youth to dig deeper into who you are and who God might have created you to be. Step out of life’s busy pace, hang with friends, and explore faith. We will meet once per month, starting with the Wednesday meal and then breaking into a high school small group with Pastor Kris. Youth are either leading or leaving church – let’s lead!
