*Sunday School & Confirmation families-Please watch your emails in August for the link to the ’26-’27 Sunday School registration form or Confirmation registration form. Sunday School will be offered for children who are 4 years old by 9/1/26 through 6th grade. Confirmation is offered for students in 7th-9th grades.
If you have questions or would like to be involved in helping with Sunday School this year, please reach out to one of the current team members: Cassie Keene, Margaret Johnson, Alison Leathers, Jenna Pederson, Megan Persons & Pastor Kris. For Confirmation, contact Christy Gildner or Pastor Kris. We are always looking for more teachers, leaders and helpers!
*September Book Read – We’ll be reading Theo of Golden by Allen Levi—a gentle, thoughtful novel that explores goodness, compassion, and the kind of everyday courage that shapes communities. One reviewer calls it “a story about the ache and beauty of loving others… seeing the light in people… and choosing what is right even when no one is watching.” Come for good conversation and shared reflection on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm at Nancy Hengeveld’s home.
*BIBLE MILESTONE SUNDAY– On Sunday, September 20th during 9am worship,4 year olds, 3rd graders, and 7th grade will receive their Bibles during worship. 3rd graders and parents will meet after worship for a Bible Milestone class at 10 am. Look for more information to be sent out!
*Faith Stories at Christ Lutheran – We’re beginning a new practice of sharing faith stories from members of Christ Lutheran.Thank you to Josie Corson for being willing to share hers. If you’d like to share your story, please reach out to Pastor Kris.
JOSIE CORSON – GENERATION TO GENERATION – Baptized and raised at Christ Lutheran, Josie’s faith has been shaped by her parents’ steady example and the rhythm of weekly worship. She feels God’s presence most during Sunday services reflecting on scripture, connecting with others, and passing the peace. Josie hopes our congregation continues building relationships across generations. She also sees God at work on the volleyball court through encouragement and teamwork. As she enters her Senior year, Josie leans on her faith, trusting God’s guidance in the decisions ahead. We give thanks for Josie and her growing faith.
