Rogation Sunday – May 5^th, 2024 – Farmer friends! Did you know that there is a special time in the Christian church year for people to pray with you for God’s blessing on the growing season ahead? May 5^th is called “Rogation Sunday”, and the following three days are set aside for praying with and for farmers in their fields. If you would like Pastor Kris or a care team member to come and join you and your family/crew to pray for you, please reach call the church office and Amanda will schedule a time, May 5, 6, 7, or 8.

Register for Summer Camp at GEV! (Remember, CLC pays 75% of your camp fee at GEV, you pay only 25%).
1)  Review the Good Earth Village 2024 registration information sheet (available from Amanda).
2).  Go to the  Good Earth Village website for a complete session description, choose the session/s and register https://goodearthvillage.org
3).  Enter this summer’s code, CLCPRES2024  when registering
4).  Do not pay anything online. Pay Christ Lutheran Church the member cost listed on info sheet
5). Christ Lutheran makes one payment to GEV at the end of the summer. THANK YOU!

Summer VBS and Pizza Garden – Sunday, June 9^th; Tuesday, June 11^th and Thursday, June 13^th; Sunday, July 14^th; Sunday, August 18^th.  Come when you can – you don’t have to attend every night. See specifics below.
WHAT: Gather with us and explore how we grow in faith.  We will plant and tend a pizza garden over the summer. In August, we will make pizza, using our freshly grown herbs and produce. This is part of our summer VBS ministry. Have fun with Bible stories, games, songs, friends, and more!  Sunday meeting dates are for all ages, Tuesdays and Thursdays are for kids. Congregation members will be asked to help provide meals and assist with VBS.  Register online on our website, children’s page, www.christlutheranpreston.org or call the office for a registration link at 507-765-2161. Greeters for Sunday Morning – We would like to start adding Greeters back to our services again, starting in May.  Mission Trip Fundraiser – Mary Glaser will be travelling with a group of 21 people from Bethel Church, Rochester, MN on a mission trip to their sister congregation at Cristo Rey in Puerto Rico from June 25-July 2.  This will be Bethel’s fourth trip to this tiny island in the Caribbean, and first since 2019. In between, other perspective mission trips have been shut down by the pandemic.  We’ll be working at Divina Salvador Church, repairing, replacing, painting and power washing different areas of the church and parsonage. On the weekend we will be participating in activities and worship at Cristo Rey. We are seeking donations to help pay for supplies and lodging.  Mary will be serving coffee after service on April 28th, May 12th, and May 26th. The coffee donations will go to the Bethel Mission trip. A donation can also be left in the office. Thank you for your support and prayers for this trip.

Spring Service Day at Good Earth Village – Saturday, May 4^th from 9am-3pm. Join us as we prepare for our summer camp season! Help us with several projects around camp including splitting firewood, trail maintenance, landscaping and much more. This event is great for you to bring your friends or family! Lunch is provided for all who attend! RSVP here, and join as your schedule allows. Please feel free to bring your own equipment (chainsaws) and extra lawn-care supplies.
