*Please let the office or a member of the Church Council know if one of your loved ones is sick or has passed or if you or someone you know is going to be in the hospital so that we may acknowledge them in our prayer list or pay them a visit.
*LENTEN SERVICES AT CHRIST LUTHERAN – Soup Suppers at 6pm, Worship at 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday, April 9 –The soup supper will begin at 6pm. Dinner will consist of a variety of soups, sandwiches, and bars. A free will donation will be accepted. We move upstairs to the Sanctuary for worship with the Holden Evening Prayer service at 6:45 p.m. This year’s focus will be on the Lord’s Prayer. Confirmation and high school youth have created prayer stations which encourage us to reflect on each petition through the lens of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. These prayer stations will be set up in the Sanctuary and Narthex. New this year, Confirmation youth have invited a mentor to accompany them for their Lenten journey. We look forward to God forming faith in us as we walk together toward the cross.
*Summer Camp Registration is open! Grab a registration form from the narthex and then register online at www.goodearthvillage.org. Follow the instructions on the form, and remember, CLC pays 75% of your camp fee at GEV, you pay only 25%!
*Breakfast with the Bishop – The SE MN Lutheran Men in Mission Board is sponsoring Breakfast with the Bishop on April 26th at Cabela’s Owatonna. Everyone, and especially young men, are invited to attend this special event on Saturday April 26, 2025, from 9–11AM. *GEV Lunch & Learn – Tuesday, April 29th – Speaker: Sara Holger; Topic: Early Wildflowers and Signs of Spring in the Blufflands. It’s springtime in the blufflands of southeast Minnesota and nature is calling! Join Sara Holger, Program Coordinator and Naturalist for Project Get Outdoors, to learn about some of our unique spring wildflowers and other fascinating signs of the changing season. For those who wish to come early, at 10:00 am Sara will guide a gentle forest bathing walk to explore the woods in springtime using our five senses. Sign up in the narthex on or before April 24th.
*Good Friday Holy Hike – Friday, April 18, 3 pm – On Good Friday we grieve the undoing of God’s very good creation. May we also create space in our hearts for Christ, through whom “all things are made new.” Earth Day is April 22nd, and this Holy Hike will include using our five senses as we give thanks for God’ gift of creation. Meet at the Trailhead parking lot – we will walk about a mile total and there will be activities along the way for the kids, as well as an Easter treat.
