*Please let the office or a member of the Church Council know if one of your loved ones is sick or has passed or if you or someone you know is going to be in the hospital so that we may acknowledge them in our prayer list or pay them a visit.
*The Craft and Bake Sale set for Sat. Dec. 7 is soon here. Help spread the word by telling family, friends & neighbors! Please review the volunteer sign-up sheets posted both in the narthex and downstairs by the Sunday School supply room. There are still several positions to be filled as well as a need for baked goods to be served at the Gnome Cafe. New this year is a Free Kids Christmas Craft Room where children and youth can complete a few craft projects of their choice. The crafts will continue as supplies last. Preschool children should be accompanied by an adult or older sibling.
Please refer to the Nov. and upcoming Dec. Ambassador for additional updates. You can also get an information sheet in the narthex which list prices for baked goods and donation drop off times. Thanks to all who have purchased and are selling raffle tickets to date. A reminder that we need you to return any sold (or unsold) tickets by Dec. 1. Feel free to reach out to any Craft/Bake Sale Committee member if you have any questions.
*Craft and Bake Sale Raffle Ticket Sale – We will continue to sell these tickets after each church service until the day of the sale. Mary Zimmerman has again donated a beautiful quilt for the main prize. Other prizes include a Solo stove and John Deere bean bag toss game donated by Pam Mensink, mosaic glass wall art donated by Barb Mielke, a Farm Charm gift basket donated by Amanda Heibel, and a crystal platter with Christmas baking made by Diane Johnson and Gail Bunge. The drawing will be held on the day of the sale, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. 7
*November is Food Share Month at Christ Lutheran – The Preston Food Shelf continues to face shortages due to an increase in need. Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items can be placed in the grocery cart or basket in the Narthex through November 30th. (Items especially needed – cereal and peanut butter). Monetary donations can be placed in the offering plate or church office and please indicate Food Shelf.
*Things I Like to Do – How might you use your gifts in new or familiar ways as we live out our mission to “Love God, Love People, and Follow Jesus”? The Evangelism Committee, led by Jennifer Pickett, has created a Things I Like to Do Survey. We invite you to fill out the survey by either paper copy (available in the Narthex or in the office) or on our website https://christlutheranpreston.org/member-survey-tell-us-what-do-you-like-to-do/
*Advent Readers Needed – Dates yet needed are Dec 1 & 8.
*Christmas Eve Choir – Choir practice for the Christmas Eve 4:30 service will be at 8:15 a.m. in the balcony on the following Sundays: Dec 1; Dec 8; Dec 15; Dec 22. Please do consider joining me and bring a friend!
