in the Heritage Room.*Christ Lutheran Annual Meeting – Sunday, January 28th, 2024. All members are encouraged to attend. The church council values you, your support, your concerns, your suggestions, your opinion, and your feedback. Whether its about our services (online or in person), activities or even the way we do things, we want to make sure we are doing our best to provide a space for everyone to grow in their faith and feel connected in Christ Lutheran’s faith family. We invite you to join us in prayer and discussion in regard to our ministry plans for 2024. The Annual Meeting will take place in the Fellowship Hall following service. Lets come together as a church family to seek Gods blessings in our lives and in our church.*Holy Outdoors: Hiking in January -Saturday, January 13th from 10-11 am at the Trailhead Parking Lot, Preston. Come outdoors for a prayer, a hike, and holy communion. Pastor Kris will lead, and we will enjoy God’s creation, worship informally, and share communion. We will begin and end at the Trailhead, so if you are not able to join us for the hike, you may still participate. Sign up in the Narthex or by calling the church office.
*INTERGENERATIONAL FUN DAY: TRIVIA AND MEMORIES – Sunday, January 14th from 10-10:45 | All ages, kids through the Greatest Generation: The Greatest Generation. Baby Boomer. Generation X. Millennials. Generation Z. And the youngest among us – Generation Alpha. Any given Sunday at Christ Lutheran we interact with people from multiple generations. Let’s have fun getting to know the different generations. Following worship, gather in the Fellowship Hall for a lively round of Generation
Jeopardy and to share some memories from church and Sunday School. How are our memories similar? How are they different? Come for the treats and fun, stay for the friendships.
*Baptismal Anniversary Celebration, Sunday, January 14, 2023– Children baptized between November 27, 2022 and December 2, 2023, their parents, and family are invited to worship on Sunday, January 14 for Baptism of our Lord Sunday. We will celebrate their baptism with a blessing and a small gift. We look forward to celebrating with you.
*YOUTH LEAD– Wednesday, January 17th, 6-7:15 pm, grades 10-12, Gather at 6 pm for supper, then join your peers for Youth Lead.
*Confirmand/Parent Dinner Church – Wednesday, January 10 – 6:00 -7:15 pm. Parents/caring adults and youth attend confirmation together on Dinner Church nights. We will enjoy a meal, learn about ELCA Good Gifts and share communion. Dinner church provides a space for parents and youths to connect and grow in faith together during the confirmation experience.
*Kitchen Cleaning Day – We will be having a kitchen cleaning day on Tuesday, January 9th at 9:00 a.m. If you can come help, please bring some of your favorite cleaning products with you.
*Sons of Legion Preston are hosting a Pancake, Egg and Sausage breakfast at the Preston Servicemen’s Club in Preston MN on January 14th from 8-12. Profits will be donated to the Eagles Cancer Telethon.
