*2025 Christ Lutheran Annual Meeting – Sunday, January 25, 2026, during 9am worship. We will gather to review our common purpose as a congregation, celebrate the life we have had together this past year, and look ahead to how God is leading us in the future. Annual reports are available in the narthex, and is available in pdf form in this email and on our website.
*2026 Offering Envelopes – If you have been getting offering envelopes in the past, they are now ready to be picked up in west coatroom. If you don’t see your name but would like to have some envelopes, talk to Amanda in the office!
*MN Adult and Teen Challenge – On Sunday, February 1, 2026, MN Adult and Teen Challenge Women’s Choir, which is made up of participants in Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge’s chemical dependency treatment and recovery programs, will be at Christ Lutheran during 9am worship to perform a mix of gospel, Christian contemporary and Americana-themed songs as well as share testimonies of the faith and life in worship. We will also be taking a love offering. Please join us!
*2026 Service Group Books – The 2026 Service Group books are now available – please pick up yours in the narthex to help us avoid mailing. Thanks!
*Women’s Fellowship – The next Women’s Fellowship meeting will take place at the church on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. There is no December meeting. Join us as we discuss the first four chapters (through page 27) of Joan Chittister’s The Gift of Years : Growing Older Gracefully.
*February Book Read – “Short Stories by Jesus” – Thursday, Feb. 19th at 6:30 at Nancy Hengeveld’s – Jesus used everyday parables to convey deep meaning in his storytelling and modern readers often miss first-century culture and context. In Short Stories by Jesus, Amy Jill-Levine reconstructs the original Jewish context and shows the parables aren’t only about Jesus but about us—provocative ethical teachings that still challenge and unsettle contemporary readers. This book was selected by those who attended the January CLC book read. All are invited to gather for the discussion. We look forward to welcoming you!
*Root River Conference – The 2026 Root River Conference Assembly will take place on Sunday, Feb 15th at Grace Lutheran in Peterson, MN. Items of business will be the Annual Report of the Synod and of Synod wide ministries. Christ Lutheran is allowed 2 adult voters + 1 youth/young adult. If you are interested in attending, please let Pastor Kris know.
*OPEN HOUSE – The family of Arlene Bakalyar would like to invite you to an Open House in Honor of her 100th Birthday! – Sunday, February 1st from 2-4 p.m. at Park Lane Estates
