*“What We Can Do: Responding to God’s Generosity“ is the emphasis for our fall stewardship campaign. The weekly themes include:

  • September 14, “Giving it All Up”, Luke 18:18-27 – How might we live in the present without the anxiety that we lack what we need?
  • September 21, “Kingdom Investing with Worldly Currency,” Luke 16:1-13 – How are our gifts faithful responses to mission and ministry locally and globally?
  • September 28, “Opening Our Eyes,” Luke 16:19-31 – What prevents us from seeing the needs of our neighbor and how is it a gift when we  help them?
  • October 5, “Saying ‘Yes!”, Luke 19:29-35a – How has God said “yes!” to the work the people of God of Christ Lutheran are doing and how are we impacting lives for the good?

*Congregational Brunch – On Sunday, October 5th, following worship, we will celebrate the end of our “What We Can Do” Stewardship campaign with an All-Congregation brunch, sponsored by Christ Lutheran and our Stewardship Team. To those who are planning to attend, please sign up in the narthex or call the church office, just so we can get a better idea of how much food we’ll need. NOTE: You do not have to have been signed up to attend the day of!

*Dwelling in the Word – Wednesday, October 8th at 9 am at the B&B – Gather with us for “Dwelling in the Word”, a Bible study led by Pastor Kris from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at B&B. Together, we’ll read the scripture for the upcoming Sunday and explore it through meaningful conversation centered on three guiding questions: What does the text say? What does it mean? And what is God saying to me through this text? Come as you are—your questions and insights are always welcome.

*Thank you!! – to Joel and Barb Mielke, Dean Solberg, Hoogie Hanson, Matt Quanrud, Kevin Ostern and Rick Grooters for trimming the low hanging branches on the maple trees surrounding the church.  Special thanks to Dean Solberg for furnishing the equipment to make the task much easier!

*Women’s Fellowship – The next Women’s Fellowship meeting will be held at the church on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Join us as we explore our relationship with money and faith. We’ll have an open discussion about stewardship, generosity, and greed.

*ATTENTION LEFSE AND FLATBREAD BAKERS! It is time again to bake our lefse for our Craft and Bake Sale. Our first bake day is planned for Saturday, October 25, starting at 8 am in the Fellowship Hall/Kitchen. We’re looking forward to a great turnout and making plenty of lefse. For those preparing lefse, please incorporate the flour and shape into balls before arriving at the church. Elsa and Lynn will make flatbread that day and could use extra help. They have requested air-tight large containers, like popcorn tins, to store the flatbread. If you have any that you could donate to the church, please leave them in the kitchen. All are welcome! If you have questions, feel free to contact: Joyce Every, 507-951-1345, joycekevinevery@gmail.com (lefse) Linda Wolfe, 952-807-5214, lwolfe609@gmail.com (lefse) Lynn Benson, 507-765-2296, arnold049@centurytel.net (flatbread) Elsa Bye, 507-765-2410 (flatbread)

*TRUNK OR TREAT – Sunday, October 26th after 9am worship. We are returning with more tricks and treats for the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat! You are invited to wear your Halloween costume to church. After church, head out to the parking lot for trick or treating. Volunteers will have car trunks decorated and be supplied with Halloween treats. Children will go trick or treating from car to car. What do we need besides trick or treaters?  We need approximately 12 volunteers to decorate their car/SUV/truck and Halloween candy for the trick or treaters! Sign up in the narthex. And also, we’ll need candy donations! (Please bring donations of candy to church prior to the event).

*SAVE THE DATE! The 5th Annual Christ Lutheran Church Craft and Bake Sale and Gnome Cafe will be Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9am-2pm.  Please pick up a fact sheet in the narthex to see the update on baked good pricing, event details, raffle details and more.  We will need the congregation’s help to bake, create, and volunteer for the event set up and day of the event.
