*CARD MINISTRY – Christ Lutheran Church invites you to share in the joy of our CLC Card Ministry. A basket of envelopes has been placed in the Narthex, each envelope contains 1, 3, or 5 congregation members names and addresses. CLC Card Ministry asks that you send a card or a kind note to each person/family in the envelope (boxed Thinking of You cards are available for purchase in the Narthex). Let us reach out with kindness.

*2025 Women of the ELCA Root River Conference Spring Gathering – Saturday, March 22 at Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Program guests are Lutheran Campus Center students and Dr. Scott H. Sorvaag, Dean of the College of Education at Winona State. Cost is $15, register in the church office before March 15^th.

*LOVE OFFERING-Thanks to your generous gifts, we were able to give MN Adult & Teen Challenge a love offering of $1,099.00

*LENTEN SERVICES AT CHRIST LUTHERAN – Soup Suppers at 6pm, Worship at 6:45 p.m.
Wednesdays, March 12, 19, 26; April 2 and 9 –The soup supper will begin at 6pm. Dinner will consist of a variety of soups, sandwiches, and bars. A free will donation will be accepted. We move upstairs to the Sanctuary for worship with the Holden Evening Prayer service at 6:45 p.m. You are invited to attend both ministries, or one or the other, depending on your evening schedule. This year’s focus will be on the Lord’s Prayer. Confirmation and high school youth have created prayer stations which encourage us to reflect on each petition through the lens of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. These prayer stations will be set up in the Sanctuary and Narthex. New this year, Confirmation youth have invited a mentor to accompany them for their Lenten journey. We look forward to God forming faith in us as we walk together toward the cross.

*March is Minnesota Food Share Month – There is an ongoing challenge for individuals and families in our community who are struggling to put food on their tables. During March Minnesota Food Share Month, your contribution will help make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity and provide them with some relief during challenging times. Monetary donations are also appreciated and can be left in the church office (please indicate Food Shelf).   Non-perishable items can be left in the Grocery Cart and/or Basket in the Narthex.  Thank you!

*Frolic in Faith – Sunday, March 23, 10-10:45 a.m. For parents & children ages birth – 4 (not yet in Sunday School). Please join us for Frolic, a class that parents/caregivers attend with their child, led by Shelby Ristau.  Frolic consists of circle time (music, story, group play) followed by play stations that include activities like crafts, sensory play, a game, and more. If you’re familiar with ECFE classes in the school district, you’ll be familiar with the format at Frolic. Enjoy this opportunity to come together with other young families. We meet in the Youth Room. Friends are welcome!

*We are starting up an Easter Choir! Please come and join us as we rehearse two lovely anthems which will be performed on Easter Sunday (April 20). All ages are welcome so bring a friend with you and come when you are able. Rehearsals begin at 8:15 a.m. Sunday mornings starting March 9^th and continuing every Sunday until Easter.

*GEV Lunch & Learn – Tuesday, March 25th, 11am – Guest Speaker Christa Spaeth is a foodie and a dietitian with over 20 years of experience in a Culinary Test Kitchen. Join us for a discussion on gut health where you’ll learn the essentials of digestive wellness and how to support your gut with simple ingredients. It will focus on powerful nutrient-dense foods. You will taste two delicious and nutritious items that are not only affordable, but also easy to prepare at home. Sign up in the narthex by March 22nd.

*MN Adult and Teen Challenge – On Sunday, February 23, 2025, MN Adult and Teen Challenge Men’s Choir, which is made up of participants in Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge’s chemical dependency treatment and recovery programs, will be at Christ Lutheran during 9am worship to perform a mix of gospel, Christian contemporary and Americana-themed songs as well as share testimonies of the faith and life in worship. We will also be taking a love offering. Please join us!

*Women’s Fellowship – The next Women’s Fellowship meeting will be held at the church on Wednesday, February 26, at 6:30 p.m. We will discuss “Losing religion: Why is church attendance declining?”  Please join us! Note: The March Women’s Fellowship meeting has been changed to Tuesday, March 25, 6:30 p.m., because of Lent.

*Winona Campus Ministry to visit Christ Lutheran – Sunday, March 2 – 9 a.m. Worship – Join us as our worship will be led by students from Winona Campus Ministry and music from Paul Schmidt, Kari Mensink and Shelly Topness.

*Ash Wednesday 2025 – The important season of Lent begins with our Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, March 5. It will kick off with a Chili Supper at 6 p.m. and worship at 6:45 p.m. The service will include Holy Communion and the mark of ashes.
